Surgical treatments

Scar correction treatments are performed in the presence of any distorting or disfiguring scars throughout the body. In particular, it is necessary to correct those that limit the function of a given organ e.g., eyelid eversion, limiting extension of limbs in joints, etc. Minor procedures are performed under local anesthesia, and extensive procedures under general anesthesia or regional anesthesia. For correction, we use various types of local plastics or skin grafts. The treatment consists in planning and sewing the tissues together so that the scar is as little visible as possible after healing. Please remember SCAR CANNOT BE REMOVED!!! It is only possible to correct it.
