Buttock enlargement

Buttock enlargement is the surgery procedure performed on patients who have insufficient or complete lack of buttock prominence. The procedure is performed under general anesthesia.

You can use your own fat and / or buttock implants to enlarge your buttocks. Each treatment is preceded by appropriate planning of skin cuts. Fat grafting is obtained from the patient by performing liposuction in the abdomen, waist, sides, hips, back, arms, inner and outer thighs. Such a procedure is called BBL or Brazilian Butt Lift, and in Polish "Brazilian buttocks". The obtained fat, after appropriate preparation, is injected subcutaneously. NEVER INTRAMUSCULAR !!! It is extremely important to enter fat only there and not to expose the patient to the risk of very serious complications such as fat pulmonary embolism and death. The procedure with such extensive liposuction and buttocks modeling takes about 5 hours. The stay in the clinic is 1 day. The standard stay in the clinic after BBL surgery is 1 day. After liposuction and buttock fat transplantation, the patient wears a special compression garment at least for 6-8 weeks. The buttocks should not be pressed i.e., it is contraindicated to lie on the buttocks for at least 3 weeks. Convalescence is a gradual return to normalcy. In the first days, the patient is helped with painkillers, and he takes care of the hygiene of the places where the skin was incised to insert the cannulas for liposuction and transplantation. After 2 weeks, you can return to work. Intensive physical activity is possible after approx. 1 month. Control visits after 7 days, 1 month, 3, 6 and 12 months.

When using buttock implants, we get the effect of buttock enlargement. The effect is immediate, and the implants do not absorb like fat, which is used as an alternative to buttock augmentation. Surgical access is performed in the buttock gap to hide their presence later. Implants can be located subcutaneously, intramuscularly, or sub-muscularly. I use the sub-muscle technique because of the best and the longest postoperative results and because of the fewest revisions caused by the implant displacement and its visualization, forcing to change its position to sub-muscle. The procedure with the use of implants lasts about 1 hour.

After only buttock augmentation with implants, they stay in the clinic until the evening and can leave it.

In the first days, the patient is helped with painkillers and possibly relaxing muscles. Return to work is possible after approx. 3 weeks, and physical activity in the gym after approx. 3 months. First follow up in the office for a check of the wound and sutures and changing of dressing is after 5 days post op. Next checkup is after 3, 6 and 12 months

Consequences and possible complications after buttock augmentation:

1. Swelling and bruising are an indispensable consequence of the treatment.
2. Asymmetry - the human body is not symmetrical, therefore achieving symmetry is practically impossible.
3. Hematoma - requires surgical intervention and removal of the hematoma.
4. Lymph cysts (seroma).
5. Infection and abscess in the wound.
6. Rotation of the implant and deformation of the buttock.
7. Implant displacement and visualization.
8. Marginal skin necrosis.
9. Pain, periodic or persistent.
10. Allergies to drugs used.
11. Unsatisfactory of the aesthetic effect.
12. Venous thrombosis with pulmonary embolism and death.
